Abstract The current research on the evaporation of ferrofluids mainly focuses characterization ultra-low vapor pressure in vacuum and theoretical analysis process. Few studies have focused experimental validation proposed rate equations comparison differences ferrofluid evaporation. In this study, based Bolotov’s model, an equation is deduced from model. study included a evaporation, magnetic particle volume fraction, temperature, height fluid surface outlet, field kerosene-based its base carrier liquid. prepared sample was evaporated test tube, calculated by measuring weight loss sample. results show that liquid higher than ferrofluid. smaller fraction particles, greater rate. particles play key role preventing deviation predicted value. rates obtained two control groups at outlet were lower predict had certain promotional effect consistent with using This validates model shows somewhat biased but still responds well to different variables.
